1. ASICS Women’s Gel-Rocket 10

Reviews

This past fall, my daughter had me on a volleyball shoe hunt that turned out to be quite the challenge. We initially ordered a pair we thought were white and black, but when they arrived, the Asics design was a dark navy instead of black. They fit well and were super comfortable, but we sent them back because the colour didn’t meet the team’s strict “white shoe” requirement (with black being acceptable in small amounts). After that, we ordered another pair off Amazon—this time a men’s Asics in the white and black combo we were looking for. However, while they fit fine, they looked too big on her, so back they went!

Eventually, we re-ordered the original pair because I somehow convinced her they’d look white and black in the gym lighting. While they didn’t always look “black,” they worked out because her winter team’s colours are navy and pink. The best part? These shoes are built to last, so they’ll carry her through the next season as well. Comfort and durability for the win!

When it came time for me to find a reliable pair of volleyball shoes, I opted for the “Asics Gel-Rocket 10” in women’s size 11. Sizing is tricky for me—I’m usually between a size 10 and 11. Most shoes feel too small at a 10 and too long at an 11, but these Gel Rockets were different. Even though my feet are slightly wide, the size 11 regular medium width fit perfectly in both the toebox and length. Surprisingly, no break-in period was needed; they were comfortable right out of the box.

So far, I’ve worn them twice on the volleyball court, and my feet weren’t sore afterward, which is a big plus. The soles provide great grip and stability, especially for quick side-to-side motions. Landing after jumps feels cushioned and safe. I haven’t experienced any slipping, thanks to the solid rubber grip, so I feel confident and secure when making fast movements. I’m also planning to use them for pickleball soon, and based on what I’ve read, these should be perfect for that sport too.

Speaking of volleyball, I’ve also tried these shoes out for it, and they perform pretty well. Although they run slightly large, the fit is still decent. My only critique is that I wish they had a bit more cushioning—after about three to four quick games, my feet start to feel sore. But overall, they’re reliable for the price.

I was impressed with how quickly the shoes arrived. My daughter, who’s very particular about comfort and fit, was thrilled with them. For a name-brand volleyball shoe that performs well across different sports, they’re an excellent value.

2. Mizuno Women’s Wave Momentum 3

Reviews

Volleyball shoes are often so plain and boring, but not anymore! I finally found a pair that are both colorful and adorable. After a month of wearing them, they’re holding up well, which is great as the volleyball season kicks into gear. The fit is true to size, and they’re super lightweight—just what we need for fast, dynamic movements on the court. Plus, the bottoms are nice and sticky, giving me the traction I need. Yes, they’re a bit on the pricey side, but so far, they’ve proven to be worth the investment.

As a middle blocker and hitter, I rely on shoes that support my jumps and provide excellent traction, and these deliver! I’ve always been a fan of Mizuno, and this pair hasn’t disappointed. They fit true to size and are durable—just take care of them and they’ll last. The grip is fantastic, especially during quick lateral movements and jumps. Mizuno remains my go-to brand for volleyball shoes!

The shipping was super fast, and the shoes fit perfectly—even with ankle braces on. My daughter, who plays Varsity High School volleyball, absolutely loves them. The grip on the court is incredible, which gives her extra confidence during games. These shoes are slightly heavier than her previous pair of Mizunos, but the comfort and stability make up for it. Overall, she’s thrilled with them for her varsity matches!

These shoes have been a dream to wear. They’re extremely comfortable, with excellent support that I can really feel during games. It took about two wears to fully break them in, but now they fit like a glove. And one of the best features? They’re super cute! It’s nice to have shoes that don’t just perform well but look great too.

3. adidas Women’s Crazyflight Mid

Reviews

One of my favorite shoes for both volleyball and gym exercises, hands down. I’m genuinely impressed with the design, especially the inner sock-like structure that offers fantastic ankle support. Adidas really nailed it with this one. I used to love the black and gold design they offered in the men’s sizes, but even though I now wear the women’s version, I’m still just as happy. These shoes are reliable and stylish, making them perfect for my volleyball adventures. Great job, Adidas!

I play in several adult volleyball leagues and have always preferred Adidas shoes, but these Crazyflights are my new favorite. The ankle support is a game-changer. It does make the shoe a bit tight to get on at first, but once it’s on, the fit is perfect. As I’m getting older (LOL), that extra support is exactly what I need to feel secure on the court. I’m loving these shoes more with every game I play in them.

These shoes are a family favorite! In the past, volleyball shoes came in either black or white, and while that was fine, kids nowadays love standing out with bright colors. The Crazyflights strike the perfect balance—they’re subtle enough not to be over-the-top but still give my kids a little extra style on the court. It’s a nice way to stand out without going too wild.

I recently received the Adidas Crazyflights (ordered in women’s size 13), and my initial thoughts were mixed. They were tight to get on, but once they were on, the fit was perfect. Having used Asics models like the Volley Elite and Sky Elite in the past, I’m used to shoes that grip well. During my first training session in these, I did experience some sliding, especially during the warm-up running drills. However, during gameplay, there were no problems at all. I suspect the design might be contributing to the sliding during exercises (the soft part of the shoe seems to touch the floor), but I’ll be updating this review after more testing.

After two months of use, I can confidently say I really like these shoes. I haven’t had any sliding issues during games, only during certain exercises when my whole foot is flat on the floor. Overall, they’ve held up well, and I’m feeling more confident in them with every match.

This is the perfect shoe for indoor volleyball! I haven’t tried them outdoors yet, but for indoor play, they’ve been fantastic. The toe box is just a tiny bit more narrow compared to some of my other ASICS shoes, but it’s barely noticeable. I saw a lot of reviews suggesting to size up, but I went with my usual size, and they fit perfectly. ASICS sizing has always worked for me—I order true to size and have never had an issue. These shoes are so comfortable, with no break-in period needed. They grip well, allowing me to move side-to-side and run forward without any issues. They’re definitely my new go-to pickleball shoes! The only small complaint is that the laces are a bit short, but they stay tied and don’t loosen during play, which is a common problem for me with other shoes. Overall, I love them! I ordered the light blue color, and it’s just gorgeous.

My 12-year-old daughter needed new shoes for volleyball, and this is our second pair of the exact same model. We’re really happy with the performance, quality, weight, and fit of these shoes. The grip they offer on the gym floor is excellent—so much so that my daughter even wore them during a basketball game, and they worked great. For the price, these shoes are a great value, and I’m very satisfied with how they’ve held up through both volleyball and basketball games. A fantastic purchase!

I originally ordered a pair of Skechers, but they were too wide for me in the toe box (I have a slender foot, though not narrow). These shoes felt a bit tight at first, but I kept wearing them and adjusted how tightly I tied them, and now they feel great! The traction is excellent for moving around on the indoor court, and they aren’t too slick or sticky, which is perfect for both pickleball and volleyball. I definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a snug, supportive fit.

These sneakers seem well-made, but unfortunately, they’re too narrow in the upper foot and toe area. I’ve never had this problem with other sneakers, and I bought them specifically for learning pickleball. By the end of my instructional class, I was limping from the discomfort. I tried loosening the laces, but it didn’t help. I’m hoping to stretch the upper part out so I can wear them comfortably because the shoes are solid otherwise. I’d caution anyone with a wider foot to think twice before purchasing.
